Verescence, a glassmaker for the beauty industry, has been awarded Gold level for the second consecutive year, by the rating agency EcoVadis, which specializes in the evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Verescence ranked among the top 1% of the best companies assessed globally in 2019.
EcoVadis confirmed Verescence’s Gold status and highlighted its progress in terms of social and environmental responsibility by awarding it a score of 77/100, an increase of 6 points. All of the company’s production sites in France, Spain and the United States also confirmed their gold medal.
Alain Thorré, CSR director of Verescence commented, “The EcoVadis Gold Medal is a strong recognition of our CSR commitments and our Glass Made To Last strategy. We’re very proud of the scores obtained by our sites and today, we want to go even further, by also involving all our suppliers in our approach to improve CSR performance throughout our value chain. That’s why we organized our first Supplier CSR Day last October with more than 40 partner companies.”
