Elle's December issue features the 2019 Future of Beauty Award winners. The magazine says its new awards program recognizes the most exciting innovations in skin, hair, makeup products, and body treatments -- and features game-changing beauty founders and experts.
Elle notes that some of the winners in the Fragrance category were chosen due to eye-catching packaging -- including Lancome's Idôle Eau de Parfum. The bottle, which Lancome says is the slimmest in the world, is "inspired by your smart phone and just as addictive to hold," the magazine states.
Glossier's Futuredew is a winner in the Skin category, and Anastasia Beverly Hills' Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol 1 is a winner in the Eyes category. The palette is named after, and inspired by, Anastasia Soare's daughter Norvina.
Clinique's Even Better Pop Lip Foundation is a winner in the Lip category, along with Gucci's Rouge à Lèvres Voile Lipstick. Gucci's pretty lipstick packaging is inspired by vintage makeup, and features a 1940s-or-50s-inspired pink and ivory rosebud print.
In the Face category, one winner is Ricki Loves Ricki's Lighted Mirror Compact Case. It features a lid that swivels open to reveal a magnetized storage space for eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick.
Another 'Face' winner is Live Tinted's The Huestick, which was also named an Innovator. The multi-purpose stick was created by YouTube beauty influencer Deepica Mutyala. It can be used as a color corrector to balance under-eye circles, dark spots, or hyperpigmentation. It can also be used as eye, lip, or cheek color.
In the Body category, Loop + Love Beauty and Planet Reusable Container Body Wash is recognized for its innovative reusable package, which is collected back through the Loop program.
