Diamond Wipes has announced that its wipes are 'confirmed effective' against viruses similar to the current strain of coronavirus. (FYI: The Clorox Company and Lysol have made similar statements, after social media posts showed consumers sharing photos of products and circling 'coronavirus' on labels)
Although not specifically the current strain of the virus that is spreading now, Diamond Wipes makes HandyClean Steridol Wipes -- and the product has demonstrated effectiveness against similar viruses, in the coronavirus category.
Specifically, viruses similar to 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) -- and when used on hard, non-porous surfaces. Refer to the CDC website for more information.
Jessica Lum, president, Diamond Wipes, says, "We understand the severity of this outbreak and are proud to have a product that may help."
Diamond Wipes' HandyClean Steridol Wipes are EPA-registered and proven to kill 99.9% of microorganisms tested, including bacteria, viruses, mold and mildew.
The wipes are made in the USA and are designed for use in hospitals and healthcare centers, day care centers and nursing homes, schools, cafeterias, gyms, grocery stores, restaurants and bars, public transportation hubs and any other highly-populated areas where disease can easily spread.
The wipes are ammonia-free, bleach-free and phosphate-free and are packaged in a recyclable container.
