MyChelle Dermaceuticals is helping to restore coral reefs. The company is continuing its partnership with the Coral Restoration Foundation, which is the world's largest non-profit marine-conservation organization dedicated to restoring the planet's coral reefs to a healthy state.
Martin Floreani, president and CEO, MyChelle, says, "We are known for creating reef-friendly sun care and is proud to align with this incredible force...the foundation's valuable mission restores coral reefs, educates on the importance of our oceans and uses science to further coral reef research and preservation."
MyChelle was one of the first cosmetic manufacturers to reject marine-toxic ingredients, including oxybenzone, octinoxate, butylparaben, retinyl palmitate and 4-methylbenzylidene camphor in its suncare products.
Martha Roesler, Chief Development Officer, Coral Restoration Foundation, adds, "This relationship will not only generate significant funding to support our mission, but it will also help to reach and inspire even more people to take action to save and restore coral reefs around the world."
For the entire month of April, 1% of all MyChelle website net proceeds will be donated to the Coral Restoration Foundation.
The brand has also collaborated with Jordan Taylor Cut Films to release a short educational video - below - highlighting the importance of using reef-safe suncare and supporting non-profits.
