Beauty and wellness brand founders have come together to form BeautyUnited to help support healthcare workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
The group includes Flower Beauty's Drew Barrymore, Goop's Gwyneth Paltrow, Too Faced Cosmetics' Jerrod Blandino, Milk Makeup's Zanni Rassi, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian -- and many more well-known names in the beauty industry. (Photos via Instagram/TheBeautyUnited)
The group is raising money through Go Fund Me and its Frontline Responders Fund.
Beautycon's founder, Moj Mahdara came up with the idea to create the coalition, in response to the COVID-19 crisis -- but its website indicates it will continue to help fund other causes in the future.
The site states: BeautyUnited is currently focused on supporting frontline healthcare workers through two key initiatives: fundraising for the Frontline Responders Fund to help provide live-saving PPE and medical equipment and donating personal care products to frontline healthcare workers.
The fundraiser was created on March 23 by Flexport.org, and eight others, including Ed Norton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, on behalf of CAF America to help raise money for masks, gowns, gloves and other critical supplies to protect our medical professionals in hospitals across the world.
As of today, there are 16.5k donors that raised over 6 million dollars -- and they are asking everyone to help reach their $10 million goal.
