Wellnesse has announced that its new all-natural Cleansing Shampoo and Nourishing Conditioner are rated "Safe" by the Environmental Working Group (EWG).
Wellnesse was founded by "Wellness Mama" celebrity podcaster Katie Wells. The brand first announced the debut of its natural toothpaste, in a compostable tube.
The brand's new shampoo and conditioner began as two of Wells' most popular DIY recipes.
When Wells, who is a best-selling author and journalist, couldn't find natural products that performed up to her expectations, so she spent over a decade researching options. She perfected her recipes, and sharing them with her loyal community on her website.
Wells says, "For most of my life, I thought my hair hated me. It was determined to be dry and oily at the same time. It never curled when I wanted it to curl or stayed silky when I tried to wear it straight. Then, I learned many products strip away the natural components that make hair strong and silky, leaving your hair dependent on them."
Wells contunues, "I researched like crazy and started making my own shampoo using herbs, beneficial oils and soothing ingredients provided what my hair actually needed."
