In honor of Earth Day tomorrow, Neptune Wellness is announcing its new partnership with Dr. Jane Goodall.
World-renowned wildlife conservationist and known for her work with chimpanzees for 60 years, Dr. Goodall is co-developing a new product line with Neptune Wellness and International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF).
The new line is called "Forest Remedies by Dr. Jane Goodall," and will include plant-based hand sanitizer products, essential oils, and hemp-derived products. It is expected to launch this summer.
Neptune Wellness specializes in the extraction, purification and formulation of health and wellness products. The company's Forest Remedies brand includes a line of Hemp Extracts, some of which are shown above. The products developed through this partnership will also leverage Neptune’s collaboration agreement with IFF to co-develop hemp-derived products for the mass retail and health & wellness markets.
Michael Cammarata, CEO, Neptune Wellness, says, “In light of COVID-19, we believe there will be a renewed focus and emphasis on personal self-care. The purchasing decisions consumers make to support their health and wellness will have a lasting impact on the environment and our collective health and wellness.”
Cammarata continues, “I am delighted to partner with Dr. Goodall again to bring natural health and wellness products to market that will support our mutual goals of environmental conservation and reforestation, while at the same time delivering healthier consumer solutions.”
Dr. Goodall states this is her third partnership with the Michael, and the company, and says the partnership "reflects our mutual goal of enabling consumers to make ethical purchasing decisions to create a better world for all living things.”
Goodall adds, “I am very pleased to partner with the team to develop natural, plant-based products that support health and wellness in an environmentally sustainable and socially responsible manner."
Supporting Dr. Jane Goodall's Conservation Efforts
Under this partnership, Neptune has made a $25,000 donation and will donate five percent of all sales from co-developed products to the Jane Goodall Institute.
Consumers will also have the option to enter the promo code “DrJaneGoodall” when they purchase any of the Forest Remedies products, which will also direct five percent of the sale to help ensure that Dr. Goodall’s vision and life’s work continue to mobilize individuals to save the natural world we share.
A primatologist and anthropologist, Goodall established the Jane Goodall Institute to help protect chimpanzees from extinction -- while also redefining species conservation to include the needs of local people and the environment.
Cammarata concludes, “In a rapidly changing world, where consumers want more ecological products, where corporations must take on more responsibilities to minimize their environmental impact, where a vision of human and nature converging is fundamental to our future, Neptune is dedicated to being in front of the curve--ecologically, environmentally, and ethically.”
