Kate Somerville launched a new skincare line today, DeliKate.
Like many beauty brands launching new products during the coronavirus pandemic, Kate Somerville is promoting its support of a charitable organization -- and the brand chose to help fund World Central Kitchen founded by Chef José Andrés.
Now through the end of May, 15% of all DeliKate sales made on the brand's website and on Sephora's website will be donated to the food relief effort, which was recently featured on 60 minutes.
More About DeliKate
The DeliKate collection includes Recovery Cream, Soothing Cleanser, and Recovery Serum.
The brand developed the line while searching to find a way to help clients at the Kate Somerville Clinic in Melrose bring their skin back to balance after treatments and peels.
The products are formulated to soothe and calm sensitized skin, while rebuilding the skin's protective barrier using gentle ingredients. The formulas are free from fragrance, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and mineral oils.
DeliKate Recovery Cream contains peptides and three essential ceramides to help reduce inflammation and redness while hydrating and restoring the skin. It contains ginger root, green tea extracts and honey.
Soothing Cleanser contains three essential ceramides. Recovery Serum, formerly Kx Omegas and Ceramides Serum, contains peptides, ceramides and omegas work to help restore skin’s protective barrier.
More About World Central Kitchen
World Central Kitchen (WCK) is working nationwide to safely distribute fresh meals in communities that need support – including families, frontline responders, and seniors.
The program is committing to purchasing 1 million meals from local restaurants and delivering those meals directly to Americans that need assistance. WCK’s #ChefsForAmerica priority is to support small, independent restaurants that may otherwise not remain in business.
