TeleBrands Corporation, a New Jersey-based consumer products company, is donating $450k worth of Hempvana's Handväna HydroClean hand sanitizer to the New York Police Department.
The company leveraged its supply chain expertise to quickly formulate, manufacture, and distribute a moisturizing hand sanitizer in order to help combat the hit from COVID-19.
A.J Khubani, president, Telebrands, says, "We recognized that due to vast shortages across the globe, nearly all available protective supplies have been going to healthcare workers. Yet with nearly 20% of uniformed NYPD officers out sick, the police force has been suffering and is in dire need of supplies that will help keep their officers healthy."
Khubani continues, "TeleBrands has committed to donating our hand sanitizer to both the Police Benevolent Association and the Sergeants Benevolent Association for direct distribution to the officers on the frontlines to keep them safe while they continue to do their best to keep us safe."
Detective John McDermott, retired NYPD, Narcotics Unit Manhattan North, comments, "This product could not have come at a better time. With over 30,000 uniformed officers, the NYPD will be receiving enough Handväna hand sanitizer to distribute at least one bottle to every person on the force."
A Moisturizing Formula
Skin tends to dry and crack with constant hand washing and sanitizing, but Hempvana's Handväna combines the active ingredient, benzalkonium chloride, with four moisturizers – hemp seed oil, aloe vera, coconut oil, and hyaluronic acid.
Telebrands is the company behind hit "as seen on tv" products including PedEgg, Pocket Hose, and Star Shower.
