Xavier Gagey has been named chief executive officer of the Groupe Pochet and a member of the executive board, effective September 1, 2021.
He will take over from Tristan Farabet, who dedicated himself since 2014 toward modernizing the Group’s organization, infrastructure and operating methods.
A graduate of the French National Electricity University and with an MBA from EDHEC, Gagey joined the Pochet Group and its executive committee in 2018, as general manager of the Glass Division, backed by a long and rich experience with the Arcelor-Mittal/APERAM Group, both in France and internationally. Over the past three years, he was instrumental, along with the Glass teams, in significantly improving the industrial performance of this historic division of the group.
Irène Gosset, chairman and shareholder of the Groupe Pochet, said, “I would like to warmly thank Tristan on behalf of all the shareholders for his decisive action in the service of the Group over the past seven years and for the significant progress made. This positive momentum now enables us to look to the future with confidence and to open a new page in the Group’s history with Xavier, whose proven talents will benefit the Group’s activities as a whole.”
