“The Future of Consumerism” is the focus of the 2021 annual global research conducted by the Beauty Industry’s Think Tank at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Professor Stephan Kanlian, chairperson of Fashion Institute of Technology’s (FIT) Master’s Degree Program in Cosmetics & Fragrance Marketing is moderating this presentation.
Members of the class of 2021 will share qualitative and original consumer research on global shifts in consumer lifestyle and the impact on brand and retail strategies due to the pandemic. Part I of the research analyzes the new “Chameleon Consumer,” their evolving values, and emotional relationship to purchasing. Part II looks at “The Future of Global Consumption” in a “phygital” global economy, as lines between brick-and-mortar and ecommerce continue to blur.
The speakers, who are members of FIT’s 2021 graduating class in Cosmetics & Fragrance Marketing, are: Christina De Matos, account manager, International Flavors and Fragrances; Thomas Hammond, sr. manager of Packaging Development and Engineering, Revlon; Annalee Rice, senior marketing manager, Giorgio Armani Beauty; and Allyson Trayah, director of Global Marketing, Redken.
Attend the presentation—complimentary for all attendees—at the CPNA show on Monday, August 30th, at 12 pm - 1:15 pm.
