Marks, part of SGS & Co, a brand experience agency, has appointed Ms. Elle Morris to the newly created role of senior vice president, Global Strategy.
Since early 2021, Morris has been serving Marks in a consulting role. She comes to Marks from Snapdragon, an East-Coast minority and woman-owned design firm she founded. Her role at Marks will focus on enhancing and growing Marks’ global strategic capabilities, based in the Cincinnati office of Marks.
“We are at a critical inflection point in our global growth and with Elle’s innate understanding of how to optimize resources across multiple offices, she will be vital to evolving our global value proposition,” noted Rob McCarthy, president, Marks. “Elle’s considerable experience in design and brand strategy will be a welcome addition to our growing global Strategy & Insights practice.”
Morris has held leadership positions of increasing importance over the last fifteen years, including president of the Americas for Elmwood and as vice president & managing director of Global Accounts for LPK, in Cincinnati. Morris has had extensive experience managing brand strategies for international category leading brands including Revlon, Gillette, Always, Clairol, Olay and Fashion Fair.
In addition to her brand building experience across an expanse of categories, Morris has extensive knowledge and expertise in localized beauty culture across multiple geographies. She is a recognized thought-leader in the areas of beauty, skin care and hair care, with a focus on African American and Latina consumers, and is a regular ‘Expert Opinion’ guest columnist in Beauty Packaging, highlighting trends and observations on retail and beauty trends.
