Dark & Lovely has recruited Storm Reid as its newest ambassador. Reid is an actress, producer, and activist, and represented another L'Oreal Group company earlier this year, when she was named brand ambassador for Maybelline.
Now, Reid, with her new blonde locks, is partnering with Dark & Lovely to promote its full portfolio, including the signature Fade Resist hair color line and the newly released Blowout collection, shown above. .
Reid is a "Gen Z style icon," Dark & Lovely states. Erica Culpepper, general manager, SoftSheen-Carson, says, "Storm Reid perfectly embodies all that Dark & Lovely stands for – confidence, pride, self-expression and overall Black excellence,"
Reid says, "Partnering with an iconic brand like Dark & Lovely is a full circle moment...my mom appeared in Dark & Lovely ads when I was growing up." She adds, "There are so many exciting products on shelves for Black women today, yet it's Dark & Lovely that stands out for me as a brand that has been a continuous leader of the culture."
Reid will also lead the brand's new community-based initiatives by using her platform to help support Dark & Lovely's philanthropic initiatives with causes that impact and uplift the black community.
