Henkel will acquire Shiseido's Asia-Pacific Professional Hair business. The two companies have signed an agreement that includes the leading salon-exclusive brands Sublimic and Primience.
Shiseido's Asia-Pacific Professional Hair business reported sales of about 100 million euros in 2020, and employed more than 500 people. It also has strong R&D capabilities.
Shiseido will retain a 20% share in the business in Japan to support growth, while Henkel becomes a key player in the Asia-Pacific region.
