Pennelli Faro's team told us about its innovative mono-material brush called “Solo” in our feature, Rethinking Makeup Brushes & Beauty Applicators. Now, at the Cosmopack 2022 show at Cosmoprof in Bologna, the supplier has introduced another brush innovation— "SoloXchange."
SoloXchange is pictured above, on the left—and Solo brushes are on the right. Solo is Pennelli Faro's patented mono-material brush made from post-consumer material—specifically, bottles.
SoloXchange is the supplier's latest design innovation that allows users to change the brush heads in one intuitive, quick gesture.
The brush is made using only one material, so it is easily recyclable. It is also made using 50% less plastic than typical brush applicators.
"It delivers a precise, smooth, and professional makeup application," the company states, adding, "it is comfortable to use for the most precise application—and the heads fit on the handle with a simple gesture, so they can be removed and changed easily."
The interchangeable brush heads come in various sizes, and are ideal for all types of products, from skincare to makeup. The brushes are made using Pennelli Faro's trademarked Dermocura fibre, which is dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic.
In addition, no glues or inks are used during the production of the brush—and it is manufactured with 100% renewable energy, for a zero-impact production process.
More about Pennelli Faro's new SoloXchange brush system—
- why solo: it means ‘only’ because it is made only of one material, from head to toe
- less plastic: lightened, less weight
- recycled: it comes from recycled water bottles
- Xchange: each brush head can be changed in one intuitive and quick gesture
- one fit for all: multiple uses and functions, one handle for all your brush collection
- recyclable: infinitely, without split-up
Additional Benefits of Pennelli Faro's New SoloXchange Brush System
Pennelli Faro says SoloXchange is so lightweight that it "dramatically reduces the materials used in brush manufacturing," using five times less, the company states. And—each brush saves 17 grams of virgin plastic. The lightened handle is ergonomic, and designed in an easy-to-use shape. "It is balanced, so it doesn’t roll on the makeup table," the company adds.
