The New Jersey Packaging Executives Club (NJPEC), a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to supporting students in package engineering and design studies. On September 28, board members presented scholarships to Rutgers University students in New Jersey at the annual Rutgers Packaging Engineering Career Fair.
Established in 1963, the NJPEC awarded a single scholarship to a Rutgers student in 1972. Over the past 50 years, the organization has surpassed $700,000 in total grants to 235 students.
The students benefitting from NJPEC's Scholarship program are or have attended Rutgers, Michigan State University, Clemson University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Wisconsin-Stout, California Polytechnic, University of Florida, and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Special annual awards include the Vincent T. Brandy and Dr. Fred Rimmele Memorial Scholarships.
