Straand, an Australian natural hair care brand that emphasizes scalp care, has signed a $2 million pre-seed investment deal with Unilever Ventures.
Straand will use the funds from the investment to expand into the U.S., UK, Europe and China.
Defenscalp is its chief prebiotic ingredient that balances the biome and helps combat dry, itchy skin and common conditions such as dandruff.

According to Valuates Reports, the global Hair Care market size is projected to reach over $7 billion by 2027, up from nearly $5 billion in 2020, at a CAGR of 6.6% during 2021-2027.
