Last year, Jack Constantine, Chief Digital Officer of Lush, lost his seven-year-old son, Dexter, to Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer that lacks awareness as well as funding for research and treatment.
In order to honor Dexter and children like him, Lush is supporting the launch of Dexter’s Arc, a fundraising platform created with the support of registered charity Alice’s Arc. Funds raised through Dexter’s Arc will go towards non-animal testing research into Rhabdomyosarcoma.
The Constantine family affectionately referred to Dexter as their “master of dragons” and so on February 15, International Childhood Cancer Day, Lush will launch a limited-edition adaption of the best-selling Dragon’s Egg bath bomb, called Dexter’s Dragon Egg.
100% of the sales will go to Dexter's Arc, with the hope that $500,000 will be raised specifically for the purpose of non-animal tested research into Rhabdomyosarcoma.
