The New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) held its annual Suppliers’ Day on May 2-3 at the Javits Convention Center in New York.
The event, hailed as the most important ingredients and raw materials exhibition in North America, is increasing its focus on consumer brands—and upcoming independent beauty brands.
The Indie 360 Pavilion was a highlight of the show. Daniela Ciocan, an exhibition and marketing industry veteran, curated and hosted the special pavilion in partnership with her consulting firm, Access Beauty Insiders.
Indie 360 featured 14 beauty companies that showcase innovation across all categories, including skin and body care, hair, intimate wellness, and oral care. Innovations that these indie brands are developing and marketing include products featuring bioengineered ingredients, waterless formulas, and intimate care innovations—along with sustainable oral care, Korean herbal medicinal-inspired remedies, and genderless beauty.
