Shopping statistics are starting to come in, so what are the most searched for gifts this holiday season? Apple products and electronic gifts top the list of consumer searches during this Black Friday, along with one beauty tool that made the cut—the Dyson Airwrap.
The Dyson Airwrap is the most in-demand item in two states across the US—Connecticut and Washington state, according to research conducted by the coupon site, DealDrop, using Google Trends data.
Social media has helped fuel demand—the item has gone viral on TikTok over the last year with the hashtag #DysonAirwrap amassing 3.2 billion views on the platform.
Commenting on the findings, James Crawford, co-founder of DealDrop, says, “Black Friday is one of the biggest days in the retail calendar, with shoppers from around the world looking to get a great deal on items that they’ve had their eye on for a while. This data shows a fascinating insight into what Americans are wanting a deal on...What this study also shows is what many might be expecting to give and receive during this holiday period with many of the items on the list being popular presents.”
What else made the cut? Nintendo Switch, iPad, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, Apple Watch, Macbook, AirPods, Garmin Watch, Google Nest, and iPhone.
