Redbright, FivFivGo and South Moon eye drops are sold in packaging that are easily mistaken as Bausch + Lomb’s Lumify brand of eye drops.
Over 26 of the copycat over-the-counter eye drop products are associated with potential risk of eye infections and partial vision loss or blindless. The counterfeit products claim to address glaucoma and other eye conditions.
CVS, Target and Rite Aid are removing all potentially counterfeit products from stores and websites. Products at Rugby, Leader and Velocity Pharma my still be available for purchase but FDA warns against it.
The FDA continues to investigate the origins of the copycat products.
