Supergoop has appointed Lisa Sequino as Chief Executive Officer.
Most recently, Sequino served as CEO of JLo Beauty, where she co-founded the LLC JLo Beauty & Lifestyle Companies. This followed nearly two decades of experience driving growth in the beauty and personal care industry at Estee Lauder and Procter & Gamble.
Supergoop's former CEO is Amanda Baldwin, who has taken over as CEO of Olaplex, replacing JuE Wong.
Supergoop's founder Holly Thaggard (shown above on the left, with Sequino on the right) welcomes Sequino to the family. She comments:
“Lisa brings such super experience and perspective to the table, having built her career scaling and accelerating growth within established luxury and upstart beauty brands—But most importantly, she fully understands and is passionate about our mission...Lisa’s energy, expertise, and excitement make her the perfect partner for us as category creators on this global stage..."
Sequino says Supergoop's mission is powerful—and the sunscreen brand truly shifted consumer behavior toward daily SPF use. She says:
“I’ve long admired Holly’s vision, her authentic story, and the category she created nearly 20 years ago with Supergoop. This special brand has an incredibly strong infrastructure, passionate brand loyalists, and significant reach already, and I’m excited by the tremendous opportunity ahead to expand its global footprint further and bring new innovative products to market."
