The Ethisphere Institute, a US think-tank recognizes the Kao Corporation as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies. Kao has made the list every year since 2007 and is the only Japanese and Asian company to be recognized on the list.
The Ethisphere Institute’s Ethical Companies list evaluates companies worldwide, recognizing those that have demonstrated outstanding performance in integrity, transparency, ethics and compliance.
Surveys and evaluations consider five categories: Environmental & Social Impact, Ethics & Compliance, Governance, Culture of Ethics and Third Party Management.
Kao president and CEO, Yoshihiro Hasebe commented: “We are honored to have been selected as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for 18 consecutive years. ‘Walking the right path’ is our core value, and external evaluations such as this are very important to us. We have reaffirmed our determination to continue taking on challenges as we work toward ambitious goals…”
