Babo Botanicals fully embraces sustainability finding that recyclability does not always equal sustainability. Sustainable haircare and B Corp Certified and EWG Verified brand, Babo Botanicals released a new line of shampoos and conditioners in new paper carton packaging.  

Sustainable Paper Packaging

In working with a third party to conduct a Lifecycle Analysis (LCA) on common packaging materials such as plastic, glass, paper and aluminum. The LCA found that paper cartons have the lowest environmental impact across 7 out of 8 evaluated categories. 
 
The brand believes that the choice of paper cartons is a small step toward a bigger impact. Babo Botanicals’ cartons contain 80% less plastic, are water-resistant and are verified by How2Recycle. Cartons can also be recycled anywhere milk cartons are accepted. 
 
When compared to virgin plastics, recycled plastics, glass and recycled aluminum, these paper cartons produce less greenhouse gasses, and use less fossil fuels and water according to the LCA.  

Babo Botanicals Collections

These sustainably packaged shampoos and conditioners come in three collections each containing one shampoo and one conditioner. 
 
Nourishing Mango & Hibiscus: For dry and damaged hair this formula protects color-treated hair, leaving it soothed and moisturized. These products are plant-infused with mango butter and hibiscus flower.
 
Purifying Lemon Tea Tree & Grapefruit: This formula is for flat and oily hair made with grapefruit and lemon-scented tea tree oil for shinier and healthier-looking hair. 
 
Defining Baobab & Rosehip: Baobab and rosehip are used to coat and protect dry, curly and frizzy hair.
