The Estée Lauder Companies announced that Deirdre Stanley has decided to step down from her position as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Stanley will remain in her role until April 2, 2024. Her successor has yet to be announced.
“Deirdre is a highly respected leader and colleague across our organization and industry. Since joining ELC in 2019, she has made many significant contributions to the company through her business acumen, knowledge of the legal landscape, and thoughtful counsel,” said ELC president and CEO, Fabrizio Freda.
Stanley led the company’s global legal strategy, security and legal teams, providing advice and expertise on corporate strategies, compliance, reporting, risk mitigation, governance and complex business transactions.
While tenured, Stanley strengthened existing legal capabilities with business priorities as well as strengthened legal support in the Regions for emerging risks in the areas of compliance and litigation.
Stanley was a key player in evolving brand support to improve the efficiency and speed of claims as well as championing operational efficiencies by implementing technology and processes.
She served on the “art and science” Board of Directors to navigate legal issues and business interests and as a trusted strategic advisor to ELC’s senior leadership team.
