Jergens Natural Glow Skincare (a Kao subsidiary) is stepping into spring with its second annual Glow Day with a multi-prong campaign that is focused on achieving tanned skin without causing skin damage.
Jergens has partnered with board-certified dermatologist Dr, Lindsey Zubritsky and professional dancer and melanoma survivor, Whitney Carson for a variety of marketing efforts across social media and other digital platforms.
The brand also partnered with The Skin Cancer Foundation to sponsor its Destination Healthy Skin program. This is a mobile educational and screening program that will travel the U.S. from May through November and provides free full-body skin cancer screenings.
The program will also educate the public on the importance of early detection and effective skin protection.
“To celebrate Glow Day this year, Jergens Skincare is focusing its efforts on promoting skin health and reminding consumers that while having a tan can make you feel more confident when showing off skin, there is a healthier way to achieve a glowy bronze, without compromising your health," said Jergens Skincare senior brand manager, Stephanie Kimutis.
"Education surrounding potential skin health risks is essential, and The Skin Cancer Foundation's program is the perfect catalyst to educate people around the country and provide them with an opportunity to prioritize the health of their largest organ," Dr. Zubritsky commented.
Jergens is also expanding its Natural Glow sunless tanners with Natural Glow Sun Drops. This is the brand’s first sunless tanning serum formula.
The drops are customizable and formulated for the face and body which can be added to moisturizers. The more drops added to moisturizers the deeper the tan will develop which lasts for days.
Australian-based skincare and sunscreen company, Naked Sundays SPF is now offered in Target across the U.S.
