The Fragrance Foundation (TFF) is celebrating National Fragrance Day today, March 21st—and spoke to LoveShackFancy's founder and creative director, Rebecca Hessel Cohen, about her fragrance line.
On National Fragrance Day, TFF partners with brands to help consumers find new fragrances through scent discovery campaigns, social media, and in-store events across retailers in the US. There are meet and greets with world-renowned perfumers, exclusive sampling sets, new launches, promotions, shopping events, and more.
TFF president Linda G. Levy comments, “Fragrance Day is a big day for the fragrance community, from the perfumers to consumers. It is an exciting time to discover and experience all the newness in fragrances...a day where we all can come together and connect. Most importantly, all of us in the fragrance community are united to welcome and celebrate the diversity of the brands, the founders, perfumers, and ambassadors that reflect the diversity of our population.”
This year, the industry focuses on sustainability, spotlighting eco-conscious choices, including refillables and recyclable packaging.
Bath & Body Works, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, Victoria’s Secret, Saks Fifth Avenue and Thirteen Lane are participating in this year’s National Fragrance Day by hosting exclusive events along with social media giveaways and sampling. Perfumers who have created some of this season’s scents will make special appearances at select NYC stores
One of the fragrance brands Levy is helping promote is LoveShackFancy, a ready-to-wear fashion brand with a fragrance line in bottles just as pretty as its outfits known for its signature pink, bows, lace, tulle, and flowers.
Showing Levy mood boards and dresses that depict each fragrance in the trio, Cohen describes each scent's notes. Each was created for a specific type of woman—see the interview below or on Instagram @fragrancefoundation.
In other fragrance news, IFF recently promoted three perfumers. Bath & Body Works recently announced a Bridgerton-themed collection.
Macy's plans on closing a third of its namesake stores. The lawsuit against Sephora's clean beauty label has been dismissed.
