Just when we thought we'd seen it all—launching today is Fefé by Dolce & Gabbana, a designer perfume for pups. Domenico Dolce and his boyfriend Guilherme Siqueira have a real-life pup, Fefé, who inspired the scent.
The luxury fragrance for dogs is alcohol-free, of course. "The alcohol-free formula ensures the well-being of the dog’s skin and eyes while controlling bad odors for a playful beauty routine together," the brand states.
And we would expect nothing less than luxurious packaging for our furry best friends' new scent. It comes in a green lacquered bottle with a red metal cap, showcasing Dolce & Gabbana's brand colors. The glass bottle, adorned with a raised 24-carat gold-plated paw print, ensures dog pawrents will display it. The bottle comes in a playful bright yellow outer box.
Fefé includes ylang-ylang, musk, and sandalwood notes. The perfume has been "carefully crafted for the olfactory sensitivities of dogs with its delicate notes, ensuring a pleasant experience for their owners and all animal lovers," the brand states.
Emilie Coppermann, Master Perfumer for Symrise, developed the fragrance. Her prior creations include Karl Lagerfeld's Karl Ikonik Pour Homme and Carolina Herrera's 212 VIP Rose Elixer.
Dolce & Gabbana says that Fefé's formula is approved by the Safe Pet Cosmetics protocol, a voluntary protocol that applies the same standards that regulate human-use cosmetics. The brand explains, "Through a Compliance Recognition to this protocol granted by Bureau Veritas Italia, participating companies demonstrate their sensitivity in creating products that ensure the safety and respect of the animal in accordance with established standards."
