Divi Scalp and Hair Health, the indie brand founded in 2021 by entrepreneur and influencer Dani Austin, has received a minority investment from the venture capital firm Norwest.
Divi markets clean, science-backed products‚ and its founder, Austin, is a three-time Forbes "Top Creator." The funds will fuel international expansion and domestic scale in key metro areas. Divi sells at Ulta Beauty, Ulta Beauty at Target, and Amazon.
Founding Divi was deeply personal for me. I wanted to create something that truly made a difference," said Dani Austin, the company's founder.
"Welcoming Norwest into the Divi family is a huge milestone, and I'm both proud and excited," says Austin. "...we are going to continue our focus on new product innovation while keeping our customer number one."
Austin says she is focusing on product innovation and "mission-driven" storytelling to grow the hair care brand, and emphasizes the importance of understanding the consumer's needs regarding scalp and hair health. Austin's husband, Jordan Joseph Ramirez, served as CEO and now holds the role of chairman.
Sonya Brown, Norwest general partner and co-head of the firm's Growth Equity team, will join the Board of Directors. Brown's expertise lies in scaling strong founder-led brands into global powerhouse names—including Kendra Scott, Vuori, and Ritual.

Divi is most known for its Scalp Serum, which sold out in two hours when it debuted in 2021. Now, Divi offers a wide range of "scalp-first" products, including shampoos and conditioners, a treatment mask, and a dry shampoo.
Divi launched at Ulta Beauty in late 2022. In July 2024, the brand expanded its distribution to include all Ulta Beauty at Target doors.
