Overview/Purpose
The Articles Editor will assign, write and edit for SELF Magazine. This position will be responsible for working with our writers, bringing in new voices, packaging ideas and finding unique angles for common universal topics readers are always concerned with.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assign, develop and edit the Essay, Self Worth section (including news), and the culture page
- Scout new writing talent and work with outside writers who understand the Self reader
- Have a finger on pulse of culture – latest movies, TV, books, etc. and package new offerings for the Self audience
- Concept the FOB pages and partner with the art department to express that content visually
- Contribute occasionally to Self.com in core subject areas
- Some long-form essay and feature-editing experience
- A network of skilled and subject-appropriate go-to writers
- Some digital experience
- An ability to write clearly and nimbly to contribute to FOB pages
