Young Designers Honored by ICMAD

The competition showcases design talent in personal care packaging, with a goal to encourage and develop young creative talent that will build the future of the cosmetics industry. Students received bottles courtesy of O’Berk Company/Cosmetic Packaging Group. Judging criteria for packaging included creativity, ability to be reproduced economically, and use and storage accessibility.
Tyler Moore, a student at the American Academy of Art, took first place and a cash prize of $2500 for his Motive High Gloss Hair Spray design. Wei-Li Chen, of The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, won second place and $1500 for her O’live Shampoo design. Anna Zimnoch, a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), placed third, receiving $1000 for her It’s All About Your Hair — Protein Hair Treatment design.
