Consumers shared the importance of sustainability in their facial products and Neutrogena delivered with an eco-friendly new facial cleanser that pampers skin with a cushiony foam, delivering gentle yet effective care.
The first powder-to-foam concentrate product in its category, Kenvue’s Neutrogena Gentle Foaming Cleanser is packaged in a reusable aluminum bottle with a foaming pump. It can be refilled by adding 7.5 ounces of any drinkable water to reach the bottle’s fill line, pouring in a sachet of Foaming Cleanser powder, and shaking for 10 seconds.
The cleanser has been on shelves since August, with refill packets available in stores and online.
Neutrogena Gentle Foaming Cleanser is more sustainable than traditionally formulated and packaged face washes because each refill sachet uses 94% less plastic compared with a leading 8-ounce foaming cleanser bottle. Based on average usage rates, the cleanser’s reusable aluminum bottle can avert the consumption of up to five 8-ounce plastic bottles per customer each year.
The Foaming Cleanser also supports sustainability in other ways, from the reduced shipping volume for sachets versus new bottles of product to the fact that Kenvue’s sulfate-free powdered refills include just seven ingredients and are 96% biodegradable.
The dermatologist-tested formulation allows customers to boost their skin vitals with a gentle, cushiony foam that cleanses and comforts even sensitive skin, removing dirt and impurities without any residue or dryness for a refreshed and restored feeling.
