New High Glass Introduces Plastics Line, New Italian Glass
New High Glass has announced the addition of a beautiful new line of quality plastic bottles, jars and tubes to its portfolio. The Los Angeles line is a range of polypropylene cosmetic packaging, featuring flip-top bottles in 250-, 200-and 150ml sizes, and a 100ml tottle. The line also includes dispenser-top bottles in 250-, 200- and 150ml 24/410. A 50ml jar is available that matches the line with a special 53mm cap.
New High has also announced availability of the David Bottle, “a stunning new Italian glass fragrance bottle with a classic profile.” The David is available in 100ml with a 15mm crimp finish.

World Wide Packaging Premiers New Round Tube
World Wide Packaging (WWP) has introduced a 50mm round one-piece tube and a 13mm round cosmetic flip-top closure. According to WWP, the patent-pending 50mm tube offers more options and value-added features than a traditional two-piece tube without additional expense. Because the cap is part of the tube, there are never any loose caps or cap lead time, and the cap is always correctly oriented to the print copy on the tube. There is also a snap-in feature for a bi-injection appearance. For manufacturers who want an eco-friendly package, the tube is also available with a PCR body and cap, for a lightweight tube made with 70% less resin than the standard package.

Rexam Supports Lolita Lempicka’s Launch
The international launch of Lolita Lempicka’s latest fragrance, Si Lolita, includes Rexam’s XD11 fine mist pump, intricate closure development and Mini-mist (for sampler size). The full-size Si Lolita perfume is fitted with the ultra-low profile XD11 crimpless system, designed for brand owners in the high-end market segment. The closure for Si Lolita includes two decorated, injected pieces made by Rexam; one is a PP gold-metallized ring decorated with a small, sewn scarf, and one is a gold galvanized ABS stirrup carrying the Si Lolita name. The two assembly parts create a jewel-like look and an intricate system, which allows the pump to be locked, bringing a new gesture to the consumer.

The special bottle and cap for the line were designed and produced by the Maesa Group, based on an idea that originated withMarionnaud. Color Sensational, the newest lipstick from Maybelline-New York, features a co-polyester cap and a metallized ABS base. Supplied by Alcan Packaging Beauty, the intriguing design combines elegance, gloss and subtle lines. The pack is produced in four colors (red, violet, pink and brown), corresponding to the different lipstick colors offered by the brand. According to Alcan, the lipstick is fitted with “the new-generation” mechanism that makes opening easier than that used for conventional lipsticks. Color Sensational was launched simultaneously in the U.S. and Europe.
