With solid fragrances becoming ever more popular, Hanae Mori turned to Maesa Beauty to envision and create a new vessel for its distinctive fragrance, Butterfly.
Maesa Beauty worked with the Hanae Mori team to fashion four solid fragrance rings—each one inspired by Hanae Mori’s signature icon, the Butterfly. Maesa Packaging crafted the solid fragrance ring base in polished and spray-lacquered zamac. Each ring was crowned with an injection-molded top above a PE film insert, which yielded a 3D pearlescent effect. Each butterfly ring was cocooned in a beautiful box, also designed and manufactured by the Maesa Group. The piece was supplied turnkey. Launching concurrently with the solid fragrance ring, Maesa also produced a 10ml Hanae Mori Butterfly rollerball. The rollerball was decorated through a gradient spray plus 2/C silkscreen plus one-pass hotstamp, all applied in register.
