The dazzling Silver Bejeweled Artichoke is one of Estée Lauder's miniature collectibles for the Holiday 2001 season. Lisa Carroll, director of design for fragrance for the Estée Lauder brand, explained that the inspiration for the jeweled artichoke came from the current popularity of gardening and beautiful illustrations she had seen in various catalogs. Ms. Carroll sketched a rough drawing, which was translated into a finished illustration and then made into a finished sculpture. The sculpture was cast and the miniatures made by Victoria Creations, Providence, RI. The detailed miniature is three dimensional and holds a solid version of Estée Lauder's dazzling Silver fragrance. It is decorated with 47 Swarovski stones and is available at Neiman Marcus, Berdorf Goodman and Holt Renfrew counters. |
