HBA Gears Up for 16th Year
More than 16,000 industry professionals are expected to attend September’s health and beauty conference and exhibition in Manhattan.
Looking to build or enhance your brand? Whether it’s through purchasing new packaging, getting expert advice from industry professionals or researching the latest trends, follow the crowds to HBA Global Expo & Educational Conference, the leading product development event for the personal care, fragrance, well-being and cosmetic industries. HBA will take place September 9-11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.
More than 600 exhibitors and educational partners are scheduled to participate. The exhibit floor will showcase a full spectrum of international products and services, including private label, contract manufacturing, prestige and mass market packaging components, delivery systems, design houses, raw material and ingredient suppliers. The Exhibitor Presentation Theater will offer solutions from exhibitors across the globe and the New Product Innovations Showcase will spotlight leading-edge products and services debuting at HBA.
Conference Program
Once again, the HBA Conference Program has been organized into three segments—marketing, technical and naturals—each focusing on a specific element within the personal care, fragrance, well-being and cosmetic production cycle. More than 200 speakers and 50 sessions are scheduled.
The HBA Marketing Program, with 25 sessions, provides information on marketing and strategic brand development, packaging, design and display, as well as industry trends and forecasts. New sessions this year include “Skin Health Today,” a live radio broadcast hosted by Celeste Hilling and a conversation with New York Times fragrance critic Chandler Burr. There will also be sessions on the latest packaging innovations and techniques including sustainable packaging initiatives, contract packaging and labeling.
Need to ensure new product development success? The integration of beauty medicine and cosmeceuticals; functional foods and ingredients; ayurvedic and Chinese herbs; as well as the latest stem cells developments will all be discussed in the Technical Conference Program.
Sessions in the Naturals arena focus on how the green movement is impacting consumers, product standards and product development.
A keynote address by anti-aging expert Nicholas Perricone, M.D., FACN, will kick off the event.
IPDA Highlights
One of the highlights of HBA is the announcement of the coveted International Package Design Awards (IPDA), which is sponsored by Beauty Packaging and Happi. Finalists in each category will be prominently displayed on the HBA Global Expo show floor in the IPDA booth. Category leaders and the Grand Award will be presented at the HBA Industry Awards Dinner, Tuesday, September 9, at the Marriott Marquis, with more than 600 industry executives in attendance.
