    IPDA Finalists 2005



    The sixth annual International Package Design Awards (IPDA) attracted a large number of entries from around the world. Held in conjunction with HBA (Health Beauty America), the leading product development event in North America for the cosmetics, fragrance and personal care industries, and sponsored by Happi and Cosmetic Packaging & Design, IPDA recognizes the best innovative packaging in cosmetics, fragrances and personal care categories in both mass and limited distribution. This year, there was such a wide range of products that contest organizers expanded the categories from seven to 10, which are described in the following pages.

    Category leaders in each group will be named on Sept. 27, the opening night of the 13th Annual HBA at the Fourth Annual Industry Awards Dinner in New York. An overall leader will also be recognized at the awards evening at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers.

    HBA will also recognize industry executives with an array of awards including New Product R&D Technical Team Award; Lifetime Achievement in Product Development; Packaging Executive of the Year Award; Lifetime Achievement in Marketing Award and International Technology Awards.


    How the IPDA Recipients are Selected



    IPDA’s Committee of 100 industry executives reviewed all entries and selected finalists in each category. The finalists were then presented to a panel of judges made up of the heads of design groups from major marketing companies, who then selected a leading package in each category and the grand awards recipient. The finalists in each category are shown on the following pages, along with information regarding the suppliers of the various components of each package. Finalists are listed alphabetically and include information on suppliers as available.
