One for All
An extensive and highly attractive bath and body range takes eco-consciousness seriously, uniting natural ingredients with recyclable, plastic-free packaging.

One Hair Boost solid conditioner—a bar soap that is PH-balanced—comes in a 2oz embossed aluminum shower tin, and equals three 8oz bottles of liquid conditioner. The entire package is recyclable. A cutout circle on the top of the spherical package enables consumers to smell the luscious scent. |

One moment to enjoy, One life to live, One planet to preserve, One beautiful world: It’s the sentiment Glenn Abrahamson embraced when creating One, an extensive line of all-natural bath and body products—as well as the artfully crafted message that encircles the globelike logo on the environmentally friendly packages.
One, says Abramson, is committed to promoting natural beauty without compromising the beauty of the Earth, providing eco-friendly products in recyclable, plastic-free packaging to rejuvenate the spirit and save the planet. The entire collection is infused with rich essential oils, natural butters and delicate fragrance, designed to energize mind and body.
The natural aspect extends beyond the products to the packaging. One uses only recyclable cardboard cartons and tins. Beautiful, washed pastels complement earthy brown and olive hues reminiscent of Kraft paper. Paper (labels) and chipboard are recyclable and biodegradable; the aluminum is only recyclable.
Soaps, lotion massage bars, solid shampoos, bath salts, bubble bath cakes, lotion massage bars, hand and body lotions, shea body butters, bath fizzers, body scrubs and sponges—28 different SKUs in all—and nowhere a plastic material in sight. And lest you think this is one of those selective, niche brands beautifying counters in high-end boutiques, the products range between $2.99 and $9.99—and launched nationwide at Target in March.
One Vision
How did the idea originate? Abrahamson says, “I had seen an article in a magazine about plastic bottles going to landfills. This inspired me to want to create a brand that had packaging without plastic so that it would not hurt the Earth.”
He says he “wanted to have my own brand of bath and body products, but also wanted to do something good for the environment.I felt very strongly about recycling and that is where my concept for the One product line came from.”
I asked Abrahamson, aside from helping to save the planet, what has been most rewarding about this launch? He responded, “The greatest satisfaction is getting emails from customers, and hearing them express how much they enjoy the One products and appreciate that their packaging is good for the Earth.”
It’s a great example of One for all and all for One.
