Lucia Magnani Skin Care launched at Harvey Nichols in London this month. The high-performance skin care line is based on a concept of holistic ‘Ben Essere’ or wellbeing. This concept is conveyed through the product formulations.

The new regime comprises Daily Firming Hydrator, Refreshing Energizing Tonic, Rejuvenating Eye Cream, Rejuvenating Night Cream and Rejuvenating Serum. A Retexturing Radiance Mask will be introduced in May.

The line also includes the luxe Ben Essere Set, which includes a complete set of 6 products in a stunning gold vanity case.

Glamorous Packaging

Lucia Magnani wanted to present her personal skin care collection in “glamorous, chic and original packaging,” she says. Magnani asked international award-winning designer Marc Rosen to create the graphics, jars and bottles.

The beautifully shaped bottles and jars look inspired by nature, and are paired with
oversized tortoiseshell caps in slanted, uneven shapes.

“I wanted to combine the contemporary, feminine oval shapes that are ergonomic to touch with tortoiseshell caps chosen by Marc as an expression of long life and Italian style,” Magnani explains.

The components are manufactured by Qualipac, and the cartons are by Arkay Packaging.

Inspired By Minerals Found in Ancient Waters

Lucia Magnani, an expert in the science of well-being and skin care, is currently CEO of Castrocaro Terme, one of Italy’s top medi-spas. She has spent many years researching a unique group of minerals found in the ancient waters of the millennial sea, contained in the spa’s cellars. These minerals, together with antioxidants, inspired the development of her product line - and choice of ingredients.

The products in the collection are formulated based on four antioxidant ingredients: Ubiquinone (CoQ10), Vitamin E, Vitamin C and Alpha Lipoic Acid, in conjunction with three earth elements: Crodarom Rock Crystal (Quartz), Gulf Stream Sea Water (Sea Salt) and Actipyte of Chardonnay GL (Vitis Vinifera Grapefruit Extract).

Magnani’s extensive background includes working with some of the most renowned researchers for over 20 years. After training as a biochemical analyst, Magnani worked as a senior executive at GVM Care & Research. GVM (Gruppo Villa Maria) is one of Europe’s largest healthcare corporations. Magnani also has experience as CEO of two of GVM’s health facilities, Primus Forlì Medical Center and the Baths of Castrocaro.
