Dozens of brands are betting on the buzz surrounding the Barbie film and hoping that consumers will want everything Barbie-inspired—and most are sold out hours after the movie set record-breaking numbers at the box office.
The most recent 'Barbie Launch' is an Eau de Parfum—in a Barbie Pink bottle. (Take a look at slide #6 above.)
There's the Barbie x Béis luggage collection in Barbie Pink (shown above); Barbie tees for adults along with hoodies for pups at The Gap; boy shorts and bralettes by MeUndies adorned with roller skates, rainbows, and the Barbie logo; Alex and Ani Barbie-themed jewelry; Barbie clogs by Crocs; Joybird's home collection that includes a pink sofa—and so much more.
The weirdest collab has to be the Barbie-edition bacon cheeseburger at Burger King in Brazil, discovered on TikTok—and topped with a strange pink sauce.
As for beauty—here are some of the brands collaborating with Mattel on Barbie-branded makeup and merch:
- NYX Professional Makeup has the most extensive Barbie makeup collection that's already almost all sold out—and the packaging is so cute. Our favorites are the boom-box-shaped mini palette and the pink flip-phone-shaped compact mirror. The Movie Collection Vault Set packs everything into a box that a vanity mirror.
- Truly Beauty (shown above, on left) has scrubs, masks, and skincare products that deliver a smooth shave in pretty colors and whipped textures. The bottles and jars look fit for a 'glam Barbie' with gold caps and dropper applicators that complement the glowing, glitter-infused formulas.
- OPI has an extensive nail color collection with nine Barbie-themed colors.
