To celebrate 40 years of blending scents, London-based Molton Brown has launched a limited edition Patchouli & Saffron Collection ($86) for bath, home and travel, which pays homage to its ’70s roots. Patchouli oil, saffron, leather and oudh blend to hydrate and scent the skin in the body wash and lotion duo. The ’70s-inspired printed Stowaway Bag includes body wash and lotion for those on the move.
Top notes of hot pimento berry, caraway and bergamot, a heart of rich patchouli, rose and saffron and a base of eastern oudh, labdanum and leather scent the new Single Wick Candle. The hand-blown and polished glass is topped with a candle snuff lid created by London designer Giles Deacon.
“I love Molton Brown—it’s a brand I have grown up with,” says Deacon of the project. “They have always been champions of quirky, colorful design and are proud of their strong British heritage which is something I admire. I wanted to create a timeless design that nods to seventies London style—a bit eccentric but fun with a sense of humor.”
