Jessica Alba is launching a new campaign for brand, Honest Beauty. (And, BTW: The line includes lip color in a stylish silver crayon format - see it here in the feature article about lip color and mascara.
Alba is asking women to follow her example on social media and use the hashtag #LetsBeHonest to share what makes them feel “honestly beautiful.”
Chris Thorne, CMO, The Honest Company, explains, “Our hope is that by Jessica revealing looks that are honest to her own life, women will be inspired to use Honest Beauty to create their own.”
The brand is also asking women to name their looks, with descriptions like “brunch with the family” and “desk to drinks” on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The #LetsBeHonest looks will be compiled into a crowdsourced look book on the brand’s website, to give beauty fans tips and ideas for how to use the makeup line to create different looks.
Alba commented, “Women have their own motivations for how they use beauty in their lives, so we can’t wait to see Honest beauties get real with us.”
Honest Beauty’s employees, as well as influencers and makeup artists will be asked to contribute to the online look book.
Alba adds, “Whether you want an everyday “almost woke up like this” look or the perfect smoky eye for a girl’s night out, this new campaign features my ‘go-to’ looks and encourages women to create their own.”
