Knowlton Development Corporation (KDC) has acquired the California-based manufacturer Cosmetic Technologies and the Kolmar Labs Group, including Kolmar Labs, a New-York-based custom formulator and manufacturer of color cosmetics, personal care and skin care products; and Acupac Packaging Inc.
Kolmar Labs and Acupac have 500 full-time employees in state-of-the-art facilities totaling over 340,000 square feet. Cosmetic Technologies is a contract manufacturer that provides turnkey solutions from initial product concept, to formulation, manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing for cosmetics and personal care products.
While KDC is active in many personal care categories, such as deodorants, hair care, bath and body, and skin care, Kolmar marks its entry into the Color Cosmetics category.
