SGD Perfumery—now an independent company—has announced the promotion of Thomas Riou as CEO and Helene Marchand as general manager in France. Ashok Sudan, CEO of SGD Group prior to the demerger, will move into the role of executive chairman of the SGD Perfumery business and provide continuity and strategic direction to the business.
Riou, who was previously in charge of the European and North American businesses will become the new perfumery company’s CEO, and will be responsible for managing the company’s global business including its subsidiaries in Europe, the USA and Brazil. He has been with SGD for the past four years, during which he led “a significant and successful turnaround of the business in Europe and North America.”
Marchand’s promotion to general manager, France, follows her success in several executive roles within the company including sales director, leader of the business’s transformation program and also general manager of the Insulator division.
