Revlon, Inc. has announced that its board of directors elected Fabian T. Garcia as Revlon’s president and chief executive officer. Garcia was also appointed to serve as a member of Revlon’s board of directors, as well as the board of Revlon’s wholly owned operating subsidiary, Revlon Consumer Products Corporation.
At the end of February, Revlon’s former corporate president and CEO Lorenzo Delpani announced that he would step down from his position on March 1, citing personal reasons. He will reportedly continue to serve on the company’s Board of Directors and as a paid adviser.
Garcia served in a number of roles at the Colgate-Palmolive Company over the last 13 years, including leading the company’s businesses in Asia-Pacific, Eurasia, Latin America, and most recently, Europe and the Hills Pet Nutrition business. Prior to Colgate-Palmolive, Garcia served at the Timberland Company; as president of Chanel in the Asia-Pacific region, responsible for the Chanel Fashion, Fine Jewelry and Watches and Fragrance and Beauty lines in the region; and at Procter & Gamble, including as president of the Max Factor business in Japan and Asia Pacific.
