Mumbai-headquartered Piramal Glass Ltd. recently announced positive results for the first half of the financial year 2015-16 (beginning April 1, 2015) with a revenue growth of 14% and EBITDA margin of 21%. Piramal Glass is a diversified molded-glass packaging manufacturer with plants in India, Sri Lanka and the U.S.
Piramal Glass says it is the global leader in nail enamel containers and is a primary supplier to almost all leading beauty products manufacturers. With five furnaces, the company claims to have, perhaps, the largest installed capacity for glass containers in cosmetics, fragrance and personal care, and has announced plans to invest approximately $85 million during the next 12 months to update their facilities with state-of-the-art infrastructure. This includes expansion of capacity for “select perfume bottles” and increasing glass decoration capacity with the addition of coating and metallization lines.
