The 14th annual Luxe Pack New York will take place May 11th through May 12th, 2016, when industry executives will have the opportunity to meet with more than 240 global packaging manufacturers and suppliers in the beauty, fragrance, wine and spirit, and gourmet food markets.
The show’s scenic venue is Pier 92 in New York City, for the third consecutive year, which is located along the Hudson River. Free shuttles are available for attendees, leaving from Penn Station (31st St. & 7th Avenue) and the Time Warner building (58th St. & 8th Avenue).
A special section of the venue called The Arena is designed to spark creativity. It will showcase some of the best packaging developed by exhibitors.
Visitors & Exhibitors
Show organizers credit the event’s success to the high caliber of its exhibitors and attendees who include package developers, marketing executives, and creative professionals.
“This year, we anticipate 4,000 attendees,” says Linda Villalobos, U.S. representative, Luxe Pack New York.
Exhibitors say they had a positive experience at the show last year. “It was the meeting place for packaging professionals to interact with brand managers from a full array of industries that require luxury packaging,” comments Anthony Di Maio, CEO, Cameo Metal Products.
Christine Takas, design and marketing manager, ITW Foils, describes the venue, saying, “It was light, open and buzzing with opportunities. We look forward to Luxe Pack every year…it is a great place to be seen.”
Sheherazade Chamlou, VP sales & marketing/Perfumery Division, SGD North America, says that attending the show and its seminars is a great way to “spark” creativity. She adds, “This exhibition is attracting more suppliers and visitors every year as it’s the perfect place for suppliers to meet industry buyers and for brands to source innovative products.”
New exhibitors this year include: Thinfilm, which develops printed electronics and smart packaging systems; James Cropper Papers, specializing in pulp fiber technologies for the digital age; Qosmedix, which handles custom sourcing requests for special pack-outs, logo printing, personalized products, and hard to find items; Cypress Packaging Company, a sourcing company with stringent quality control that specializes in manufacturing fancy packaging; INOAC Packaging Group, manufacturers of heavy-wall PET bottles and jars for prestige brands; Identipak, known for its innovative samplers that include die-cut sachets, stand-up pouches, stick packs, and deluxe mini-tubes; and Showroom35, specializing in GWPs that include handbags, small leather goods and jewelry.
