Matthias Woelk, with 20 years of experience in global operations for leading manufacturing companies, has been named global operations director for the Hamburg-based Lindal Group.
According to the company’s CEO Francois-Xavier Gilbert, Woelk is charged with enhancing production efficiencies to benefit Lindal Group customers in a range of market segments. He will collaborate closely with all Lindal Group functions around the world, leading all the company’s operating units throughout Europe and The Americas.
Most recently, Woelk was head of global operations for Mahle Group’s Thermal Management operating unit, which is considered the world’s leading OEM for refrigeration and climate systems for vehicles, engines and transmissions. There, he was responsible for global logistics and supply chain management for six production plants in Germany, the U.S. and China.Prior to this, he served as division manager for Schunk Carbon Technology GmbH, part of the worldwide Schunk Group.
