The Fragrance Foundation (TFF) Awards has announced that Marc Puig, chairman and CEO of Puig, has been named TFF 2017 Hall of Fame honoree. Harry Frémont, master perfumer at Firmenich, will receive the Lifetime Achievement, Perfumer award. The 2017 awards will be held June 14 at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City.
Puig joined Antonio Puig S.A. as director of R&D and New Product Development and, in 1996, was named president of Puig in the USA. During this time, he oversaw the Carolina Herrera fashion and fragrances company based in New York. In 2001, he returned to Barcelona and was named president of the Fashion Division at Puig, overseeing the Carolina Herrera, Nina Ricci and Paco Rabanne fashion brands, and served as the senior vice president of corporate development. He was named CEO of Puig in 2004 and chairman of the board in 2007.
Harry Frémont, master perfumer at Firmenich, arrived in the U.S. in 1990. He is the artist behind fragrances including Calvin Klein’s ckOne, Ralph Lauren Romance, Bath & Body Works’ Japanese Cherry Blossom and Estée Lauder’s Modern Muse.
Carolina Herrera along with her daughter, Carolina Herrera Baéz and supermodel Karlie Kloss will serve as co-chairs of the TFF event.
