Miguel Fernandez has been appointed to the position of global president at Avon Products, Inc. He will be responsible for commercial business operations, effective August 14, 2017. Fernandez will report directly to Avon’s chief executive officer, Sheri McCoy, and will be based at Avon’s headquarters in London. Fernandez succeeds John Higson, who will be retiring in September from his role as Avon’s executive vice president, chief commercial officer, following 32 years with Avon.
Fernandez is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of operating experience, including significant international experience and a proven track record in the direct selling industry. He joins Avon following nearly 10 years at Herbalife Ltd., where he most recently served as executive vice president and managing director for the Americas and Worldwide Member Operations. Previously at Herbalife, he served as senior vice president and managing director of Mexico, and vice president finance & distributor operations.
